Producer / Project Manager - Game Art
The key to this role is the ability to inspire and motivate, plan work, reduce risk, and manage multiple projects end-to-end. You have to be unafraid to take responsibility for your projects and the team's performance, be organized, self-motivated, flexible, show initiative and attention to detail, as well be able to communicate well with creators and other Producers and Managers.
In this position, you will:
- Manage projects, prepare project documentation, define scope of work, estimate time necessary to complete projects, plan and supervise task execution via a formal backlog.
- Create and maintain the project schedule; ensure teams are on track with their deliverables.
- Ensure milestones are delivered on time and to the highest possible quality.
- Identify risks in advance, and drive the team towards a successful resolution before the risks turn into fires.
- Identify and resolve conflicts between schedule, budget and design goals.
- Continuously assess risk and keep scope of the project in line with budget and schedule.
- Be unafraid of work. Producer does what is needed to help the team be successful without ego.
- Create milestone content and realistic production schedules in coordination with team leads and management.
- Manage the project budget - identifying resource requirements and expectations, tracking actual project spend versus planned spend, and continuously updating projections.
- Manage communication of project progress to the division head and internal senior management team.
- Keep the team and stakeholders aware of milestones, deliverables, and goals through all phases of development.
- Maintain close communication with team leads and provide team members with material and technical support as needed.
- Ensure that each member of the team is working from a tracked schedule and has a strong sense of ownership, responsibility and accountability for the quality and timeliness of their contribution.
- Ensure excellent communication, positive working relationships and teamwork within the development team and across disciplines, and multiple time zones.
Skills & Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Producer or relevant manager.
- Must possess excellent communication skills IN ENGLISH, both written and verbal. Optional: Polish (not mandatory).
- Highly responsible, self-directed, detail-oriented problem solver with a desire to contribute to our creative environment.
- Exceptional project management practices (working SCRUM knowledge is a plus).
- Software proficiency, incl. ClickUp, Google Workspace, Excel, Word, Powerpoint or KeyNote, Asana etc.
- Industry knowledge is preferred. Technical skills are a plus.
- Outstanding organization, and management skills.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Critical thinking, able to apply analytical skills to resolving complex issues.
- Bring a positive attitude, every day. Producers create the energy and are the glue for our teams to execute.
- Be able to plan, create and maintain a highly effective production schedule for multiple disciplines in all phases of development, from concept to completion.
- Be capable of balancing a project’s production requirements within budget and staff limitations while ensuring high production values are never compromised.
