Tool Development: Create in-house tools, scripts, and utilities (C#, Python, HLSL) to support artists and technical processes.
Shader Creation: Develop custom shaders using Shader Graph, Amplify, or HLSL to achieve complex visual effects.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Art, Engineering, and Production to align technical goals with artistic vision.
Performance Optimization: Ensure assets and scenes are optimized for target platforms without compromising quality.
Mentorship: Guide and support the technical art team, fostering growth and technical excellence.
R&D Leadership: Explore emerging technologies, real-time workflows, and procedural techniques to keep Beffio ahead of industry trends.
Requirements
6+ years of experience as a Technical Artist, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior position.
Proven expertise in Unity3D (URP, HDRP, SRP) and familiarity with Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5).
Strong experience in Houdini for procedural generation and pipeline automation.
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as C#, HLSL, and Python.
Solid understanding of 3D art production, asset integration, optimization, and rendering pipelines.
Experience creating and maintaining tools that improve production efficiency.
Knowledge of real-time rendering principles, shaders, materials, and lighting systems.
Experience with version control systems (Git, Perforce).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Bonus Skills
Experience with real-time VFX systems (Niagara, VFX Graph).
